As the UAE marks the Year of the Community, ensuring that law enforcement and security professionals are equipped to serve all members of society is more important than ever. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by People of Determination, the Secure Communities Forum (SCF) has been leading initiatives to provide specialized training to law enforcement professionals, enhancing their ability to build trust, ensure justice, and engage effectively with diverse communities.
Empowering the Next Generation of Law Enforcement at Rabdan Academy
Last week, SCF had the privilege of hosting a Masterclass on Victimology and Law Enforcement Support for People of Determination at Rabdan Academy. This session was specifically designed for Masters in Policing students, with over 30 undergraduate participants joining virtually, representing a diverse group of future law enforcement professionals from across the UAE.
The class aimed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills needed to interact with individuals with disabilities in a way that upholds their dignity, respects their rights, and ensures their safety.
